Sales manager CV: a sample, tailored to the job
A sales CV is read through its numbers: targets hit, accounts managed, new deals won. And through one more thing: what you sold and to whom. The same CV has to be told differently for a car showroom and for a B2B role.
What the job ads keep asking for
- Sales experience. Experience in the same field (cars or insurance, say) is often a plus.
- Hitting the sales plan, and a focus on results.
- Negotiating, preparing offers and closing deals.
- Working in a CRM and managing a client base.
- Finding new clients and holding meetings.
- Often Russian or English, sometimes fluent.
- In some vacancies, a category B driving licence.

The CV almost everyone sends
A general CV, the kind most people send unchanged to every vacancy. It's only an example: the person, companies and numbers are made up.

Sales manager (cars)
Summary
Sales manager with 6 years' experience, 2 of them in a car showroom, where I sold 9 cars a month on average and closed deals with loans and insurance. I've hit my target 8 quarters in a row and log every deal in the CRM.
Experience (top bullets)
- Sold new and used cars, 9 a month on average.
- Ran test drives and helped buyers arrange loans and insurance.
- Hit the sales target 8 quarters in a row, at 118% in 2025.
Skills: Car sales, negotiation, closing, CRM (Bitrix24), Russian (C1)
What changed: The showroom job, last on the general CV, now comes first and opens the summary. The vacancy says "CRM", so that exact word shows, next to Bitrix24.
VacancyB2B sales manager, Russian required
Asks for: Corporate clients, finding new business, meetings, commercial offers, fluent Russian.
Giorgi Lomidze
B2B sales manager
Summary
B2B sales manager with 4 years with corporate clients. I manage a base of 60 accounts, win up to 35 new ones a year and negotiate in Russian and Georgian (Russian C1).
Experience (top bullets)
- Manage 60 corporate clients and bring in up to 35 new ones a year.
- Prepare commercial offers and negotiate prices and terms, in Russian and Georgian.
- Hit the sales target 8 quarters in a row, at 118% in 2025.
Skills: B2B sales, new business, negotiation, Russian (C1), CRM
What changed: Russian moved into the summary because the vacancy requires it. The showroom shrank to one line: for this role, corporate clients are what matters.
Before you hit send
- Numbers: percent of target, number of accounts, average deal. A sales CV without numbers barely gets read.
- Say what you sold and to whom: B2B or retail, and which product. A car salesperson and an insurance agent should present themselves differently for each vacancy.
- Name the CRM: Bitrix24, Salesforce, HubSpot or an in-house system. Vacancies often ask for "experience working in a CRM".
